Nina Groves - Private Chef
Born and raised in deepest rural Devon on a wholesale nursery, I have been accustomed to the wonderful hampers of delicious fruits and vegetables that delight us all year round from an extensive kitchen garden.
I first walked into a professional kitchen aged 12, which was a fabulous local hotel with returning guests. I experienced the whole side of the hotel from chamber to waitress service. It wasn't long that I soon felt my real passion. The fast paced energy and level of intriguing ingredients that strongly drew me to the kitchen and the strong guidance of a great mentor, Chef Terry Crump.
We are so privileged here in Devon to have the very best quality of fish, meat and garden produce.
Previously to setting up Devon Cooks, I was a private chef on luxury yachts for thirteen years. I am very proud to have cooked for a Royal Family member, one of the creators of Google, a Dragon from 'The Den', and a professional snooker player.
In my travels across the world’s oceans I have encompassed international cuisines but channelled alongside my love of fresh ingredients. This fast paced career has developed my culinary creativity and given me that special eye for detail and unique tasting palette.
Other experience has been gained in luxury ski resorts in Italy, France and Switzerland and 5 star hotels in the Med.
I would like to share my skills & passion for cookery with others and ultimately prepare an eye catching, taste sensation in your home or 'home away from home'.
